About
Leak detection questions, answered properly
Short episodes on how hidden water leaks are actually found, from the people who find them for a living.
Every episode takes one real question that ADI Leak Detection gets asked and answers it in about five minutes. George hosts and Dave, an engineer, does the explaining. There are 73 episodes so far, with new ones arriving most days.
Why every episode has a transcript
Because most people would rather read the answer than listen to it. The transcript is the whole episode in text, on the page, not hidden behind a button. If you found this site by searching for a symptom, the answer is already written down for you.
How the episodes are made
The voices are synthetic. Each episode is written first, from real leak detection questions and the working knowledge of ADI's engineers, and then produced using AI-generated voices. That means the transcript is exact rather than a machine interpretation of speech: the script is what was said, word for word.
We say so on every episode page rather than burying it, because you should know what you are listening to. The engineering is real. The voices are not.
Who ADI are
ADI Leak Detection find hidden water leaks in homes and commercial buildings across the UK, using acoustic equipment, thermal imaging, tracer gas and moisture readings rather than digging up floors to look. This podcast covers water only.
